As of 2011, the city has an estimated population of 69,516 and a population density of 3,000 persons per km². The total area is 23.18 km². ==History== The area of modern Toyoake was part of Owari Province and was the location of many battles during the Sengoku period. In the cadastral reforms of 1888, Toyoake Village was created within Aichi District.
